On 30 July 2025, the Center of Excellence for Emerging and Re-emerging Infectious Diseases in Animals, Faculty of Veterinary Science, Chulalongkorn University, organized a stakeholder mapping workshop under the theme “A Stakeholder Mapping Workshop for Swine Influenza Virus Surveillance and Monitoring Systems in Thailand, based on One Health Concept” at MeStyle Hotel, Bangkok, with support from the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (US CDC), Thailand Country Office.
At the workshop, Professor Dr. Sanipa Suradhat, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Science, Chulalongkorn University, presided over the opening ceremony. In addition, Dr. Brett W. Petersen, Epidemiology Branch Chief, the Division of Global Health Protection, the US CDC Thailand Country Office, delivered the welcoming remarks.
The workshop focused on facilitating discussions on the current disease situation, challenges, and practical recommendations to improve related policies and disease reporting systems. The workshop was honored by the participation of distinguished experts and representatives from various sectors, who delivered informative presentations on relevant knowledge and the current disease situation. These included:
- A Senior Advisor Committee from the Department of Disease Control, Ministry of Public Health
- Representatives from the Division of Communicable Disease and the Division of Epidemiology, Ministry of Public Health
- Representatives from the Department of Livestock Development, and the National Institute of Animal Health, under the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives
- Deans, vice deans, and representatives from academic and research institutions such as Chulalongkorn University, Mahidol University, Kasetsart University, Khon Kaen University, Chiang Mai University, Mahasarakham University, Prince of Songkla University, and Rajamangala University of Technology Tawan-ok (Bang Phra Campus)
- Representatives from provincial and district public health offices, health promotion hospitals, as well as village health volunteers (VHVs) and livestock volunteers (LVs) from Nakhon Pathom and Nakhon Ratchasima provinces
- Stakeholders from the private sector and civil society, including Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited (CPF), Betagro Group, the Swine Raisers Association of Thailand, the Thai Association of Swine Farm Veterinarians, the Zoological Society of London (ZSL), and the Ecoexist Society (ECS)
The workshop featured presentations by experts from various relevant agencies, followed by focus group discussions organized into four groups, including:
- Group 1: Government stakeholders (central and provincial levels)
- Group 2: Representatives from universities, academic institutions, and research institutions
- Group 3: Representatives from District Health Offices (DHOs), Health Promoting Hospitals (HPHs), and local communities, including village health volunteers (VHVs) and animal health workers (AHWs)
- Group 4: Representatives from private sectors (including farm owners and businesses) and non-governmental actors, including Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs)
The workshop was carried out smoothly and successfully, supported by Professor Dr. Alongkorn Amonsin, Director of the Center of Excellence for Emerging and Re-emerging Infectious Diseases in Animals. The activities were led by Dr. Kanokwan Suwannarong, together with the dedicated organizing team from the Faculty of Veterinary Science, Chulalongkorn University. Valuable collaboration was also received from esteemed faculty members and experts from various institutions, including:

The outcomes from this activity are expected to inform relevant stakeholders and policymakers about swine influenza surveillance systems in human and animals, prioritize actions, and provide recommendations to further strengthen the prevention and control of the surveillance system in Thailand.
การประชุมเชิงปฏิบัติการการจัดทำแผนที่ผู้มีส่วนได้ส่วนเสียเพื่อพัฒนาระบบเฝ้าระวังและติดตามเชื้อไวรัสไข้หวัดใหญ่สุกรในประเทศไทย ตามแนวคิดสุขภาพหนึ่งเดียว
เมื่อวันที่ 30 กรกฎาคม 2568 ศูนย์เชี่ยวชาญเฉพาะทางโรคอุบัติใหม่และอุบัติซ้ำในสัตว์ คณะสัตวแพทยศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย ได้จัดการประชุมเชิงปฏิบัติการภายใต้หัวข้อ “การจัดทำแผนที่ผู้มีส่วนได้ส่วนเสียเพื่อพัฒนาระบบเฝ้าระวังและติดตามเชื้อไวรัสไข้หวัดใหญ่สุกรในประเทศไทย ตามแนวคิดสุขภาพหนึ่งเดียว” ณ โรงแรมมีสไตล์ กรุงเทพมหานคร โดยได้รับการสนับสนุนจากศูนย์ควบคุมและป้องกันโรคแห่งชาติ ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา (US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention หรือ US CDC) สำนักงานประจำประเทศไทย
ในการประชุมเชิงปฏิบัติการฯ ศ.สพ.ญ.ดร.สันนิภา สุรทัตต์ คณบดีคณะสัตวแพทยศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย เป็นประธานในพิธีเปิดการประชุม และ นายแพทย์เบร็ท ปีเตอร์เซน หัวหน้าฝ่ายระบาดวิทยา สำนักงานประจำประเทศไทยของ US CDC เป็นผู้กล่าวต้อนรับ
การประชุมการประชุมเชิงปฏิบัติการฯ ครั้งนี้ มุ่งเน้นการหารือเกี่ยวกับสถานการณ์โรคที่เป็นปัจจุบัน ความท้าทาย และข้อเสนอแนะเพื่อปรับปรุงนโยบายและระบบการรายงานโรคฯที่เกี่ยวข้อง ซึ่งในการประชุมฯ ครั้งนี้ ได้รับเกียรติจากผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิและผู้แทนจากหลากหลายภาคส่วนในการบรรยายให้ความรู้และสถานการณ์โรคที่เกี่ยวข้องในปัจจุบัน อาทิ
- ผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิ จากกรมควบคุมโรค กระทรวงสาธารณสุข
- ผู้แทนจากกองควบคุมโรคติดต่อทั่วไป และกองระบาดวิทยา กระทรวงสาธารณสุข
- ผู้แทนจากกรมปศุสัตว์ และสถาบันสุขภาพสัตว์แห่งชาติ กระทรวงเกษตรและสหกรณ์
- คณบดี รองคณบดี และผู้แทนจากมหาวิทยาลัยและสถาบันวิจัยต่างๆ อาทิ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น มหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่ มหาวิทยาลัยมหาสารคาม มหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ และมหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีราชมงคลตะวันออก (มทร.ตะวันออก) วิทยาเขตบางพระ

โดยกิจกรรมภายในงานได้มีการนำเสนอข้อมูลจากผู้เชี่ยวชาญจากหน่วยงานต่างๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้อง ร่วมกับกิจกรรมอภิปรายกลุ่ม ทั้งหมด 4 กลุ่ม ได้แก่
- กลุ่มที่ 1 ผู้มีส่วนได้ส่วนเสียจากภาครัฐ (ส่วนกลางและระดับจังหวัด)
- กลุ่มที่ 2 ผู้แทนจากมหาวิทยาลัย สถาบันการศึกษา และสถาบันวิจัย
- กลุ่มที่ 3 ผู้แทนจากสำนักงานสาธารณสุขอำเภอ โรงพยาบาลส่งเสริมสุขภาพตำบล และชุมชนท้องถิ่น ซึ่งรวมถึงอาสาสมัครสาธารณสุขประจำหมู่บ้าน (อสม.) และอาสาปศุสัตว์ (อสป.)
- กลุ่มที่ 4 ผู้แทนจากภาคเอกชน (เช่น เจ้าของฟาร์มและภาคธุรกิจ) รวมถึงภาคีองค์กรนอกภาครัฐ เช่น องค์กรพัฒนาเอกชนและองค์กรภาคประชาสังคม

ผลของการประชุมฯ ครั้งนี้ คาดว่าจะนำไปใช้เพื่อเป็นข้อเสนอแนะให้กับผู้มีส่วนได้ส่วนเสียและผู้กำหนดนโยบายที่เกี่ยวข้อง รวมทั้งจัดลำดับความสำคัญของการดำเนินการ และจัดทำข้อเสนอแนะเพื่อเสริมสร้างระบบป้องกันและระบบเฝ้าระวังในประเทศไทยต่อไป
